Currently I am...
R E A D I N G : a ton lately. I'm not sure if it's the extra free time on my hands, or what, but I've breezed through multiple books the last couple of weeks. I'm loving Liane Moriarty's witty books. So far I have finished Big Little Lies and What Alice Forgot, and I'm in the middle of The Husband's Secret. I'm also doing a book-club-kind-of-deal with my roommates and reading The Boys in the Boat, which was recommended to us by a patient in Seattle.
M A K I N G : my beloved sugar cookies. I'm finally reunited with my lovely kitchenaid so I can make them again! Moving every few months means being unable to take alllll my cookie making/decorating supplies, which I'm not a fan of, at all. Until I'm living in one place like a normal person again, I'll just get lots of use during my visits home!
P I N N I N G : wedding festivity ideas. Don't jump to conclusions, it's not for me! My best friend asked me to be her Maid of Honor and I couldn't be more excited! The wedding may not be until April but I'm busy getting ideas for the bridal shower and bachelorette party. I'm loving the use of succulents for all things wedding right now!
A N T I C I P A T I N G : the fall weather. It definitely won't be happening in Texas, although it has been slightly less than the triple digits (read: 99 degrees?). I'm enjoying the sun and getting a tan for now, but in a couple weeks I'll be starting my next assignment in Portland, Oregon and you can bet I'll be loving all things fall there! Now to find where my fall clothes are... that could be a challenge!
L O V I N G : on my sweet nephew. Maybe I'm biased, but he's perfect in every way! And also a little spoiled. I've been babysitting him two days a week while my sister is in school and we've been bonding. He's only two weeks old, but he already tries to hold his own head and roll himself to his side. He loves being rocked and laying on his soft elephant mat. He's a chatty little guy and his smiles just melt my heart! I've loved every minute of being an aunt!
What are you up to lately?
I think I've been through all of Liane Moriarty's books by now... What Alice Forgot is most definitely my favorite. What fun to have those all on your pile! And I've heard such good things about Boys on the Boat - been meanin to get around to it. Thanks for linking up!
